Ceremony Sound For Weddings
“DJ Doug-we don’t need a ceremony sound system; we all have loud voices that project!” Wait a minute, it doesn”t work that way in a crowded room full of people and definitely outside!
Lots of couples are choosing to get married outside of a religious institution, and on the same site as their reception location. No matter what size crowd you have at your ceremony, you will need a speaker and few microphones at the very least, for your ceremony sound system.
How many outside or inside wedding ceremonies have you been to where you haven’t heard a thing that happened? I’ve been to plenty, and you probably have as well. One very big and very costly misconception that many couples (and ministers/JP’s) have, is that “we all have loud and boisterous voices, so everyone should be able to hear us just fine”. Not so fast! There are many factors that couples don’t consider including people, wind, acoustics, and nervousness!! Yes that’s correct; even if you are used to public speaking, this is one of the biggest days of your life and people do get nervous! And usually their voice gets quiet when this happens. Regardless, hire a company that knows how to handle a ceremony, both the sound reinforcement aspect and the organization of music and the wedding party.
Supersound Productions currently provides approximately 75% of our couples with a ceremony sound system. We provide up to 4 microphones (if needed), 2 powered speakers, and a ceremony rack (out of the way of guests) with an IPad that plays background seating music, as well as processional and recessional music for the married couple. You definitely want to make sure with your DJ/Sound company that you go over each and every song that will be played for the ceremony, and that your DJ/sound company has a backup device in case their main device fails. Call Supersound Productions to discuss your ceremony sound options!
